On Politics A.M.: A Divided House Endorses Trump Impeachment Inquiry

The vote fell largely along party lines.

Good Friday morning. Here are some of the stories making news in Washington and politics today.

  • Leon Cooperman, the billionaire former hedge fund manager, wrote a letter denouncing Senator Elizabeth Warren's critique of him, the finance industry and America's wealthy. She tweeted a response.
  • Paula White, a personal pastor to Mr. Trump and a follower of a controversial school of faith, has joined the Trump administration in an official capacity, according to a White House official.
  • The off-year state legislative elections in Virginia next Tuesday will test whether Republicans can appeal to anti-Trump voters by running on issues usually championed by Democrats.

Today's On Politics briefing was compiled by Isabella Grullón Paz in New York.
