The May 13 meeting was held over objections from President Trump's national security adviser.
Good Tuesday morning. Here are some of the stories making news in Washington and politics today. |
- For years, the Taliban has wanted Washington to pull troops out of Afghanistan, Turkey has wanted the Americans out of northern Syria and North Korea has wanted an end to United States military exercises with South Korea at the very least. |
- Nearly a year before the 2020 election, Mr. Trump is running out of options in his search for a leader who could win Senate confirmation and carry out his immigration crackdown at the Department of Homeland Security.
|
- Senator Elizabeth Warren released her education plan Monday, making her the last leading Democratic primary contender to do so. The plan breaks from Obama-era Democratic priorities by critiquing charter schools and testing.
